Burgers & Van Noordwyk was established in 1987 by Chris Burgers and Audie van Noordwyk. Chris Burgers sadly passed away in 2010 and Audie van Noordwyk is currently the sole practitioner at the firm.

Audie attended Paarl Boys High and matriculated at D F Malan in Bellville. He obtained his BA Law degree in 1975 and his LLB degree in 1977 at Stellenbosch University. He then worked for the Department of Justice during which period he was appointed as secretary of the Cillié Commission of Inquiry on the 1976 Soweto uprising. Audie did his articles at Dyason Attorneys in Pretoria and was later appointed as Professional Assistant in their Johannesburg Offices. He was admitted as attorney in 1982 and as a conveyancer in 1984. He joined Johan Kriek in Johannesburg in partnership under the name Kriek and Van Noordwyk where he specialized in deceased estate transfers until he joined Chris Burgers in Hermanus.

Audie obtained a Certificate in Deceased Estates Practice from UNISA in 2009 and a Certificate in Sectional Title Management from UCT in 2012.

Burgers & Van Noordwyk's mission is to provide professional, effective and personal service to our clients.

The firm focuses mainly on all areas of property law, such as Sale Agreements, Transfers, Consolidations Subdivisions, Property Development, Home Owners' Associations Constitution and Rules, Sectional Title Management and Deceased Estate Transfers.

The firm has been involved in the registration of several residential and commercial developments in Hermanus and other areas. 

The firm also focuses on Drafting of Antenuptial Contracts Sale of Business Agreements, Estate Planning, Drafting of Wills and Trusts, Administration of Deceased Estates and Some areas of Commercial Law.
